Australia’s import trade is dominated by manufactured goods. Importation of goods into Australia can be a tricky business and will frequently raise the possibility of conflict with local intellectual property rights. Not only do you have to avoid infringement of any patents that cover a product itself, but patents that cover a process for producing the product even if the product is made (and the process is carried out) abroad. This webinar will look into whether products manufactured overseas and imported into Australia infringe Australian method and product patents, and compare Australian laws with those of major trading partners.
