Australia’s import trade is dominated by manufactured goods. Importation of goods into Australia can be a tricky business and will frequently raise the possibility of conflict with local intellectual property rights. Not only do you have to avoid infringement of any patents that cover a product itself, but patents that cover a process for producing the product even if the product is made (and the process is carried out) abroad.
