POF is delighted to celebrate International Women’s Day and the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women across the globe. As a firm committed to promoting diversity, equality, respect and inclusion, we’re proud to #BalanceforBetter and to stand for a more gender-balanced world, starting in our own workplace.
As part of our celebrations, POF is supporting Fitted For Work, an organisation dedicated to assisting disadvantaged women get work, keep work and navigate their world of work. Fitted For Work not only offers employment services to help these women build their skills and develop their confidence, but also provides support through the provision of high quality second hand clothing. POF staff members generously donated money, as well as a large amount of pre-loved clothing which we’re certain will find a great second home.
Dr Annabella Newton, who was accepted into the Women in Leadership Development (WILD) Program late last year, also shared her experiences in the program at a firm wide morning tea. Managing Partner, Ross McFarlane, also spoke about gender-balance in the legal industry, and POF’s dedication to diversity in our workplace.
