On July 1, Marine Guillou was appointed as new Associate of Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick.
Marine began her career with POF in December 2008. Since then, Marine has qualified as a Trade Marks Attorney. She advises clients on trade mark prosecution and searching. She also specialises in anti-counterfeiting programs, customs proceedings and training.
Prior to moving to Australia and joining POF, Marine gained valuable experience in anti-counterfeiting as an in-house lawyer for the French anti-counterfeiting Group, Union Des Fabricants (Unifab) and as an anti-counterfeiting area Manager with Société Bic. Marine participated in working groups such as Interpol Intellectual Property Crime Action Group and Global Anti-Counterfeiting Group. She also represented Société Bic in Customs training and seminars held by the World Customs Organisation.
Marine is a French qualified lawyer. She holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from Edinburgh University (Scotland) and a Master’s Degree in Competition Law and Intellectual Property from Rennes University (France).
