Watch out Oprah! On Friday 22 May, POF Partner Deb Yin Foo took part in the panel at the Connecting Women in Biotechnology luncheon held at Melbourneâs iconic Myer Mural Hall. Now in its seventh year, the luncheon is designed to connect women and celebrate Australiaâs most innovative industries. POF is proud to be a founding sponsor of this event.
Joining Deb on the panel was valued POF client Nina Webster of Acrux. In front of 400 plus guests, Deb and Nina were asked a series to tricky questions and shared insights about their careers while âon the couchâ with Dr Krystal Evans, CEO of BioMelbourne. One of the many insights Deb shared with the panel was that itâs important to work collaboratively, and if you donât know the answer to something, just ask. Deb said she has found that working as part of a team at Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick is incredibly rewarding, and that that if you ever need assistance, someone will always be on hand to help.
Connecting Women in Biotechnology continues to attract guests and speakers from global organisations as well as some of Australiaâs biggest biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. In addition to networking, the event also raised over $10,300 for the charity, St Kilda Mums.
