EPO and Russia sign an agreement on machine translation from and into Russian. Further information is available from the EPO.
Cracking Ideas Competition, the search for the UK’s youngest innovators is on now. Further information is available from the UK IPO.

The Patent Office of the Republic of Latvia has published the presentations made at the recent “Intellectual Property Rights Management” Conference held on 09 May 2012. Further information is available from the Latvian Patent Office.

A new arrangement between patent Offices in Sweden, U.S. and Japan provides Swedish and other Nordic companies with a means of significantly accelerating the process of their international patent applications in the national phase. Further information is available here.
Hungarian Intellectual Property Office (HIPO) 2011 Annual Report is now available in both English and Hungarian. Further information is available from HIPO.
Similar to the already existing agreement between the Portuguese Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO), INPI has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of a Patent Prosecution Highway Project (PPH) with the Japan Patent Office (JPO), which commenced on the 18th of April 2012.
