Ethics is an important issue which underpins professional duties. This seminar will discuss ethical obligations and provide guidance on how to navigate the complex areas of professional conduct.
At this seminar, Magda Bramante will discuss recent cases which consider the following:
- Evidence containing misleading statements and supervision of inexperienced staff;
- Acting against former clients when in possession of their confidential information;
- Professional misconduct and unsatisfactory professional conduct as considered by the Professional Standards Board for Patent and Trade Marks Attorneys.
The duration of the seminar will be approximately 1 hour.
About the presenter:
Magda Bramante is an Associate of Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick Lawyers, and is a patent and trade marks attorney and lawyer. Magda has a wide range of experience in all aspects of intellectual property including patent, design, trade mark, copyright and trade practices issues. Magda is also experienced in Federal Court matters and opposition proceedings before the Patent and Trade Mark Office.
