This weekend sees the Grand Finals of two of Australia’s largest sporting codes namely the AFL (Aussie rules) grand final and the NRL (rugby league) grand final. We take a look at the respective teams trademarks over the years.
Hawthorn Hawks vs Sydney Swans
The Hawthorn Football Club entered the Australian Football League (then the Victorian Football League) in 1925. The Sydney Swans Football Club was founded (as the South Melbourne Football Club in 1874) but the club moved to Sydney in the early 1980’s. Registered trademarks for both teams have been filed since the 1980’s.
Good luck to both teams. Our tip is Hawthorn by 25 points.
Melbourne Storm vs Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs
On Sunday 30 September 2012, the Melbourne Storm will take on the Canterbury- Bankstown Bulldogs in the National Rugby League (NRL) Grand Final. The Canterbury- Bankstown Bulldogs were founded in 1934 and the Melbourne Storm are a more recent addition to the NRL, being formed in 1998.
Good luck to both teams on Sunday. Our tip is the Melbourne storm by 8.
