New Medical Technology Hub in NSW

NSW Deputy Premier Troy Grant and Minister for Health Jillian Skinner launched the Medical Technology Knowledge Hub on 9 March 2015 at Baxter Healthcare’s campus at Old Toongabbie.  The launch was attended by representatives of the Australian Medical Technology community.

The Medical Technology Association of Australia is tasked with leading the MedTech Knowledge Hub which has been allocated $150,000 of funding from the NSW State Government to develop three key projects:

One of the Knowledge Hub’s main aims is to assist in the transfer of knowledge between key industry participants in the NSW Medical Technology industry as well as to smaller businesses and start-ups.

NSW based medical technology businesses, researchers and research institutions are encouraged to contact the Medical Technology Association of Australia to learn more about the Knowledge Hub and to determine how it could be of assistance to the future of their business and to take advantage of the business mentoring services that it will offer.

Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick is active in sharing knowledge with researchers, companies and institutions in the NSW Medical Technology community to help them to develop and protect their valuable intellectual property in the most cost effective manner whilst having the greatest possible impact.
