Oh, What a *Bad* Feeling: Qantas Opposes Toyota “Jump” Trade Mark

We recently reported the acceptance of a number of trademarks for the Toyota “Jump” and the similarity between the “Jetstar Jump” and the “Apple Jump”.

Qantas Airways Limited (the company who owns Jetstar) have now opposed the registration of the first of Toyota’s “Jump” trademarks, namely Australian Trademark Application 1472375.  The trademark is in class 12 (motor vehicles and parts and accessories for motor vehicles).

Qantas must serve evidence in support of the opposition by 30 November 2012 (extendible).

The opposition deadline for opposing most of the remaining “Jump” trademarks is mid November 2012.  Watch this space!
