POF is proud to celebrate diversity and multiculturalism for Harmony Day 2018. As part of the celebration, POF held a multicultural lunch that included food from many different countries around the world, promoting Harmony Day’s message of ‘everyone belongs’.
Australia is a vibrant and multicultural country — from the oldest continuous culture of our first Australians, to the cultures of our newest arrivals from around the world. Held annually on 21 March, Harmony Day also coincides with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. It is a day about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background, united by a set of core Australian values.
We’re looking forward to next year’s celebration and to continue our tradition of celebrating multiculturalism.
