POF’s Annabella Newton accepted into the Women in Leadership Development Program

Congratulations to POF’s very own Dr Annabella Newton who has been accepted into the Women in Leadership Development (WILD) Program!

The WILD Program, sponsored by the CERA Centre for Eye Research Australia, the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science and Brandon Capital, is open to women in the science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) sector. Its aim is to build qualifications, skills and confidence to help women attain senior leadership roles and company directorships.

This year’s program received 70 applications from female members of Victoria’s STEM sector, with only 20 spots available. The program provides enrollment into the Company Directors Course run by the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a leadership skills short-course and hands-on mentorship.

POF Managing Partner, Ross McFarlane states “We are thrilled that Annabella has been selected as part of the first intake for the WILD program; it is a real testament to her existing skills and capabilities, and helps craft the pathway for women in leadership roles.”

Well done Annabella! We are all very proud.
